How much does an app cost in 2026? Real starting prices from a small studio
"How much does an app cost?" is the first question almost every client asks, and the honest answer is "it depends", which helps nobody. So here are the real starting prices we work with, what makes a project cost more, and how we turn a description into a fixed price before any work starts.
Starting prices, excluding VAT
- Business website, up to 5 pages: from 490 EUR, delivered in 5 to 7 days.
- Shopify app built for one store: from 900 EUR. A public app for the Shopify App Store: from 2,900 EUR.
- Mobile app for a Shopify store (native iPhone app on your live catalogue): from 1,500 EUR plus a 99 EUR monthly care plan.
- Mac app: from 1,900 EUR. Android app: from 2,400 EUR. Casual game: from 2,500 EUR.
- iPhone app: from 2,900 EUR. iPhone and Android together: from 4,900 EUR.
- Web platform with accounts and an admin dashboard: from 2,900 EUR.
"From" means the smallest version of that thing that is still a complete, shippable product: designed, built, tested and published under your account. It is not a teaser price for a demo.
What makes the price go up
- Accounts and data that sync between devices. A backend, sign-in and an admin panel are often half the work.
- Payments: in-app purchases, subscriptions, Stripe, or cash on delivery with a courier.
- Integrations with systems you already use: Shopify, an ERP, a courier, a bank, an exchange.
- More platforms. iPhone plus Android costs less than two separate projects, but more than one.
- Languages. Each extra language means copy, screenshots and store listings, not only translated strings.
- Custom design work beyond a clean, native interface.
What keeps it down
- A clear first version. Ship the one flow people pay for, then add the rest after launch with real feedback.
- Native components instead of a fully custom look.
- Reusing what you already have: an existing Shopify catalogue, an existing website, an existing iPhone app to port.
How a fixed quote works
- You describe what you need in a few sentences, with links to apps or sites you like.
- Within one business day you get a fixed price, a timeline and the list of what is included.
- 40% upfront, the rest on delivery. 30 days of free fixes after launch, and the source code is yours.
Small jobs such as an app icon, a store submission, an SEO audit or a domain and HTTPS setup do not need a quote at all: they have a fixed price and can be bought online on the Products page.
